You can do “best of three” matches at each stage of the tournament. There are all sorts of complexity you can add like “double elimination” in which there is a loser’s bracket so that you have to lose twice to get knocked out. Those 8 winners compete leaving 4 winners and then two and finally you have a champion from that side of the bracket who faces the champion from the other side of the bracket. First round, 8 games take place leaving 8 winners. There will be 16 players on each side of the bracket. For example, I have 32 buddies that want to play. Split the group of players into two sides of the bracket and pair people up.
Player with the most wins is the victor! You can count skunks as two points if you want, and you can settle ties with a winner takes all match. Rotate opponents after each game until everyone has played each other at least once. This is best for smaller groups of players or close friends that want to play everyone at least once. Round Robin: This is where everybody gets a chance to play everybody.
